Hello, my name is Sara Cheesman I am a British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher.I live in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire and teach yoga classes in West Wiltshire and Somerset.
Sara’s Yoga is a deeply relaxing, therapeutic yoga which is constantly evolving. I plan to develop deep breathing, increase muscle tone and flexibility in my students and guide them towards becoming more aware of the needs of their bodies and minds. I aim to make my classes relaxing and enjoyable.
I use yoga postures, breath work and positive affirmations to increase feelings of self- confidence and well-being. My overall aim apart from helping my students to become stronger, healthier and more supple is to teach the value of ‘the breath’ to enable students to find peace and stillness within themselves.
“Listen to your breath
Like the wave it moves in and out
Like the tide it ebbs and flows
Like the wind it whispers through the trees
Listen to your breath
And you will find peace”
My yoga classes are small enough to allow time for individual attention. Modifications are used when needed. I use blocks and blankets and occasionally resistance bands to make asanas comfortable and achievable for the individual. My yoga sessions are made up of: Initial limbering of the body, asanas (yoga postures) – often adopted through flowing sequences, pranayama (breathing exercises), followed by relaxation, visualization or meditation. Sara’s Yoga classes are suitable for most people, but a few students, some beginners and some people with certain medical conditions or specific requirements will find that 1 to 1 sessions are better for them.
